This week was a special outreach program in my church. We were reaching out to the “unreachables” basically. So on Thursday, we went to a brothel.
Side note: I had never been to a brothel before so this was a first for me. I had seen them in movies but I never envisioned how they would look in real life. But truth be told it was as they are in movies. It’s not a pretty place.
I met Nancy
So when we walked in, we saw a couple people sitted outside. I went over to speak to one of the ladies. Her name was Nancy.
Side note: I didn’t even know how to start to be honest because they’re really sensitive. Their first defense is offense. And i didn’t want to sound too “high up there” by speaking too much English and I also didn’t want to sound demeaning by speaking “Pidgin”. You just have to know their slang and ask the Holy Spirit for help.
I spoke to her and just tried to establish the fact that God loves her and how he wants to have a relationship with her. After all was said and done, I asked her if she would like to be born again and she said Yes. But when I wanted to lead her in the salvation prayer, she said she knows what I want her to say, but she can’t say it here, that is, in the brothel. I didn’t get it at first and I didn’t want to force her or make her feel uncomfortable so I just collected her contact and prayed for her.
This week, I was just reminded of the graciousness and goodness of God. God is so good, you guys. His heart is full of so much love. I always say that if a terrorist (e.g Bokoharam) wants to receive the life of Christ and be born again, God will run to that person.
Side note: “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”- (I Timothy 2:3-4 NKJV). Emphasis on ALL MEN.
There’s this song by Hillsong that I love so much, it’s titled 100 billion times and the last verse of the song says, “You’re The One Who Never Leaves The One Behind”.
Even though, Nancy didn’t confess Jesus as her Lord, God is still on her case. He hasn’t given up on her and He won’t until she’s His. I pray God revives our heart with love in Jesus name. Amen.
20th Birthday Wish 🥳
So I turned 20 today😊 and as the day was getting closer, I realized I didn’t have a gift for God. So I decided to bring 100 souls in God’s kingdom. And glory to God, from January till this moment, I’ve won 100 souls for God. Hallelujah💃🏼🙌🏽.
Anyway, that’s all from this side. May God revive our hearts with love, His love, in Jesus name. I leave you all with our great commission, “Go into all the world and openly publish and preach the good news [Gospel]to every living creature (of the human race)”. Matthew 15:16(AMP).
