No Escape

My approach to evangelism this week was a little different than most days. I went out on Thursday and as I was going, I perceived the Holy Spirit would have me sit down at a particular place and wait for souls to come.

It sounded weird at first because I’m used to walking around. So at first I did my own thing but I eventually came back to sit down where I perceived to. Partly because I didn’t win any soul as I went walking about.

It felt really strange sitting down and waiting for people to pass and then trying to preach to them. Most people were just giving me the “what-are-you-doing look”😂. But I waited despite their glances and it paid off.

I spoke to a couple guys that were passing by. Their names were Emmanuel, Micheal and Abdulwahab. I started off speaking to them and a few minutes into my message some people passed by us and Micheal stylishly left us and followed them like they were going somewhere together.

Side note- SMH😒

Anyway, I continued on with Emmanuel and Abdulwahab. When I popped the question, Emmanuel said Yes.

Gloryyy to God💃🏼. Abdulwahab said he didn’t believe Jesus was His Lord but he believed He was his prophet. I didn’t want our discussion to lead to an argument so I just thanked Him for listening.

After I was done speaking to them, I went back to sit down and wait🌚. Some of the people I spoke to afterwards were saved. Thank God. Some were staunch Muslims and didn’t want to hear a word I said. Glory to God for that too🙂.

Guess who passed by some minutes later? It was Micheal😂. This time around I dragged him and made him sit next to me. I told him there was no escape for him. He was just laughing. I spoke to him about the love of God and more about God’s plan and purpose for him on this earth and when all was said and done, he received the life of Christ.

Side note: I learnt the difference between giving your life to Christ and receiving the life of Christ. An unbeliever cannot give their life to Christ, they can only receive the life of Christ. Romans 5:17(NLT) says- “For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.” You receive the life of God for salvation and you give your life for discipleship. A true disciple is one who just has 1 life; to do the will of God.

There was no escape for him. He had to be saved and thank God for the grace to be sensitive to his instructions and to obey them, even the seemingly awkward ones.

Testimony Time💃🏼💃🏼

Soooo🌚 in the month of April, i won 50 souls🤗. Glory to God🙌🏽. It was all by His grace, really. I’m so grateful to God.

Anyway, that’s all from this side. But i leave you with our ever so great commission, “Go into all the world and openly publish and preach the good news [Gospel] to every creature (of the human race)”. Mark 16:15(AMP)

Till I write to you next ✍️

Stay Blessed ❤️
